I still do like that Gwen scene - and I think it's fair to count it as a "mug and replace" scene, even if Spider-Gwen already has a duplicate outfit ready.

Meanwhile, Jessica Drew is one of the most disappointing characters in the Marvel universe when it comes to USB scenes. The comics have established her as a skilled espionage agent and master of disguise, yet she rarely mugs anyone for those disguises.

There's an old episode of the Spider-Woman animated series where Jessica infiltrates a group of Amazons. She needs a disguise, but instead of knocking out one of the real Amazons, she just grabs a uniform that's conveniently hanging on a hook.

In the Guiding Light episode from May 5, 2000, the villainess Carmen Santos is being held in prison. She fakes illness and is taken to the prison hospital, where she chloroforms a nurse and knocks her out.

But... rather than steal the nurse's uniform, she has a male associate bring her out of the hospital in a wheelchair, while he's disguised as an orderly. Carmen does not change her clothes at all.

Knockout scene is at 25:10.

This scene from an episode of The Littlest Hobo, a 1980s TV drama, is about as perfect setup for a uniform steal as I've seen lately...

A female convict has escaped from prison and hides in a stable yard where horses are kept. A young blonde in an equestrian uniform walks by, and the villainess leaps out, knocks her unconscious, and drags her into one of the stables.

We later see the blonde bound and gagged (she is freed by a dog), but still in her uniform.

Knockout at 11:15. Aftermath at 12:30.

Black Widow (2004) #6

Black Widow is looking for a group of mercenaries who kidnapped someone and hurt a friend of hers. She begins by ambushing a female mercenary in her hotel room, after binding and gagging the mercenary's girlfriend. So there's this sexy imagery of Black Widow and a women in her underwear bound and gagged, but Natasha didn't steal the girl's outfit. (I suppose the underwear-clad woman was planning some "action" with her girlfriend when Black Widow arrived... ;) ) Then the female mercenary shows up, and Black Widow threatens her girlfriend to make her comply.

Black Widow is then shown attacking the mercenary's accomplice. She's actually in disguise to fool the man (she wears inconspicuous clothes), but she's NOT wearing the female mercenary's outfit.

The craziest part is that dialogues heavily hint Black Widow actually forced the female mercenary to strip to her underwear and bound and gagged her alongside with her girlfriend ("discovered two women bound and gagged, semi naked in a hotel room") yet for some reason she didn't don the woman's outfit.

I remember that scene. My read was always that Black Widow did not strip the first woman (she was already in her underwear, with romantic plans for her girlfriend) and stripped the second woman to ensure the two of them would stay put. But alas, that's never elaborated upon.

I believe the plot of the 2004 Black Widow comic book was a partial inspiration for the Black Widow movie released a few years ago. Although at no point in the movie does Natasha leave any women stripped of their clothes.

Out of curiosity, I read the whole issue, and apparently it seems Black Widow stripped the mercenary as a way to "neutralize" her - by making sure she'd be discovered in such a humiliating state and the pictures would leak. Later in the issue, the woman's employer mentions she's "dead center in a lesbian bondage scandal with photos on page nine". Quite a fascinating scene for a "not quite uniform steal"...
