The Return of the 403 Error Message

For the attention of the moderators:-
I was finishing up sending a PM to Rufus this evening and when I was ready to hit submit, I recieved the 403 forbidden error message. I hadn't had this issue in nearly 18 months and now I'm concerned at its reappearance. I thought it best to bring this to the attention of the moderators so a solution can be found.
To my fellow board members:-
If there's anyone who have had this similar issue or is in a similar situation then please let me know.

Hi Stormtrooper, sorry to hear this. I sometime get this too, along with the 504 Gateway... I hope the board is fine, I mean I hope these problems mean the website is being mainternained.

The SSL cert on the site was recently renewed and there was a recent issue where php fell over, and the server had to be restarted. Rob blocked a lot of malicious IP's that were hitting the site as well last week so we are monitoring it

Thanks cuccut, I'm sorry to hear that you also get the same problems as well. I'm sure that the IT guys behind the scenes are doing all they can to monitor and maintain the board to smooth out these kinks.

Will somebody please do something about these 403 errors! I just tried to post chapter 6 of Red Rock II and got another one of these god damn white screens of death!
I've tried to be patient, hell even understanding, although this IT rigmarole flies over my head, but this is starting to cut into my bottom line. I know I'm not the only one on the board who's suffering because of it.
I can't speak for all of us, it's not my place but please get this fixed ASAP. It was fine until somebody decided to meddle with the settings or flipping certificates or whatever.
Just simply 'monitoring' isn't going to cut it anymore. Action needs to be taken and it needs to be taken now, or it won't be just Cuccut and I under threat.

I did some tests. Short posts work perfectly, the 403 error happens when I attempt to load longer ones. I managed to succesfully upload around 28,000 characters (28,444 exactly), but the board indeed seems to go bonkers when I try more than 30,000.
So I advise people to wait the time the problem is fixed. Short posts appears to be fine. Longer ones should either wait or be split into several shorter ones.

It's no good rufus, I did has you said with Red Rock II Chapter 6 and it has diminishing returns; the more replies you make the shorter the number of characters that trigger the 403. This is a really big problem that needs immediate attention.

Yes this is a real problem, I keep experiencing the very same issue when I try to edit a post of mine
pay attention, error 403 could have been generated by authorizations excessively restricted during the site maintenance
