The comic Hornsby and Halo #11 has a scene where a businesswoman is replaced by a shapeshifting impostor. I love the trope of the replaced woman being kept just out of sight while a meeting takes place. I just wish they'd taken her outfit for the disguise.

Definitely feels like the perfect setup for a uniform steal, but alas...

Wow, talk about a tease with that scene. I mean, it's all there. Maid at the back of the line, protagonist needs to sneak in, a descent hand-gag. But all she wanted was information. She could have at least tied her up, because what's stopping that maid (?) from now catching up to the others and telling them what had just happened to her and the fact that there's now a possible intruder in the palace. Alas indeed.

Here is a scene from the manga "Date a Live" chapter 6 which is literally a setup for a uniform steal, but does not follow through.

A young woman is in need of some inconspicuous clothes. She spots a girl approaching and is about to knock her out to steal her clothes, but her male friend admonishes her and lectures her that it's wrong to knock out innocent people. So she ends up using some superpowers to form her own clothes instead.

Curse you, generic good-looking male protagonist! CURSE YOU! (Still interesting that the scene discusses the trope. Love how the girl's first idea is to mug a random bystander. Clearly USB-heroine material. ;) )
