Just as Claire was about to respond and think of a way to evade the FBI intrusion, Homeland Security agent Martha Scott and Nadine Ferguson arrived wanting to interview the accosted women.
"What is Homeland doing here? We don't have any illegal aliens to be deported sorry, wryly poked Special Agent Celine Rogers.
"Anyway, you guys aren't needed added SA Mae Sparks. "We 've got this covered."
"Covered are you shitting me? If the FBI had this covered, then where are the perps and why is every law enforcement branch here? Covered my ass" scoffed Agent Martha Scott.
"I think this may be overkill for these two fugitives even the US Marshals are here. Where's your partner hon?" asked Agent Nadine Ferguson.
Claire had been formulating her lies while the FBI and Homeland Security agents had been chiding each other. "Oh, you mean my useless newbie, she went off somewhere again. You know how these 20 years olds are."
"You can say that again, I have one that wanted to go live with her worthless father, she'll be crawling back real soon, mark my words, said Agent Rogers.
