Uniform Stealing Board

Hi all, I've added a new Chapter XIV: Genjitsu to the story document (accessed through the first post). Would be happy to receive feedback.

Genjitsu means "actuality" in Japanese, and in this chapter Onyx and Seht join the Great Cleansing side in the civil war against the corrupted Peacekeeper Corps. And first, they search for a corrupted peacekeeper leader to learn their plans, abd it will lead to a face-off against elite PK unit called 'the Ninjas'.

A lot of espionage abound so naturally, there is a uniform stealing scenario (non lethal this time) featured in this chapter with two custom pictures that depict the victim and the process of uniform stealing.

Happy to say that actually we have written chapters 15,16,17,18,19 and 20 too and almost wrapped up Volume II. And I will tease you that it is very subterfuge focused with MANY female uniform stealings.

I'm glad to see this project is still going strong. I know clothes stealing isn't the main focus of the campaign, but this project stands out in the story section. To my knowledge, the only "live retelling" of a TTRPG-related uniform stealing.

I sadly don't have the time (and partners) to DM or play TTRPG much - DMed a 7th Sea (Second Edition) campaign with my brother a few years ago, and even managed to sneak in an infiltration and uniform stealing scene, but unfortunately he plays male characters. (Thank Goodness for the female DMPC helping him.) So it seems you're living the dream.

Quite the teasing indeed. I can hardly wait. Why did you have to play with my feelings? Joke aside, any idea on when the rest of Volume II will be available?

And thank you for appreciating the story. One of Onyx's main character themes is struggling with her three distinct personalities (Mira, Onyx and Shade), and trying stay human while being pulled to a dark side by her inner entity that emerged from her supernatural augmentations (Shade). And my beloved Uniform stealing is a great addition to her theme, where she has to add more and more facets to her as she plays other people.

Her character build is all about subterfuge, espionage, stealth, assassinations and manipulation, so naturally impersonations using disguises are very viable and this is perfect excuse to kill/knock out a powerful female villain, strip her and assume her identity

I also love to give my uniform stealing targets a proper personality, name and some screentime. Usually the USB scenarios involve a nameless nobody who gets forgotten, but here I want my targets to be actual characters with appropriate screentime before they are impersonated by Onyx. This is much more enjoyable for me.

You are right that I'm living the dream with this campaign. My writing partner is a gift to play with. We actually had a discussion about this topic of disguises and he said he loves it when Onyx acquires new outfits its also cool that his character is very combat focused and Commander like, so we don't step on each other toes and complement each other in terms of mechanics. When Onyx gets in trouble, Seht is there to break some faces

I've tried to insert some clothes stealing in my Dming in the past but my co players usually missed all the opportunities. This time its very liberating to just be able to write what I want without judgement.

Regarding C15-20, I will post them when I find and prepare nice images for the scenes. I love customizing the images and make them comic-like and it takes a bit of time to make the character picture to go well with the aftermath picture. But its also an enjoyable proccess.

Personally, perhaps a bit amusingly, the very first USB scene with Kamila is what sold this story (and Onyx) for me. The hotel setting, the set-up of the heist, the suspense with Seht's more action-packed part going on at the same time, the mugging itself with Onyx attacking Kamila right after she ends her call, and the description of the aftermath with the security guard left tied up and with her mouth duct-taped in the bathroom. It reallly caught my eye. That one will always hold a special place.

I confess Onyx's archetype isn't my favorite kind of character, but it's still a cool archetype. Plus, sci-fi cyberpunk stories aren't exactly all sunshine and rainbows.

The Rogue/Thief archetype is indeed ripe for uniform stealing, and I'm pretty sure plenty of instances occur during sessions across the world. It's just that in-between the players who play male characters, the ones who don't detail the scene and just go for a generic "I take the guard's clothes", and the many sessions which simply don't receive a written recap, 99% of the content is either lost or not suited for the Board - and the remaining 1% is your tale.

It's clear you're having fun role-playing Onyx, and you're really committed to her character. TTRPG is a bit like improvisation theater. Personally I prefer the role of DM because I prefer keeping some distance with the characters even when playing their roles, but I love creating PCs. (Ironically, I rarely create mistresses of infiltration though. )

Good luck with chapters 15 - 20 then. If I got it right, they're not exactly the end of Volume II, but they're pretty close to it.

Hi, uniform stealers.

I've added two more big chapters to my story docs.

Chapter XV: Turn the Tide
Having recruited the elite covert ops unit to their cause, the protagonists set out to deliver the dangerous bio weapon to an allied spaceport for further disposal. Along the way they have to fend off the corrupted cleansers who want to seize the weapon for their own goals.

Then, due to a couple of really bad rolls they get ambushed by a powerful team of augmented hunters from their former company who have been prowling them for some time, and a huge fight ensues.

Overall, a very action packed chapter.

Chapter XVI: the Spoils of War
Connected to the previous chapter, the protagonists find themselves in the aftermath of the huge battle against their former colleagues. Then they finish the job of disposing the bio weapon.

This chapter features a bit of subverted uniform stealing(lethal), because the gear is taken not for disguise purposes. it's more of a 'looting the battlefield' scenario. Still, there is some dialogue about disguises and impersonations

As always, there are two custom images depicting the target and the aftermath. One is in chapter 15 and another in chapter 16.

It appears to be. The subheaders seem to be working too. Thanks for adding them. They do make life easier. One picture in chapter 4 appears to be cropped (the first one), but it must be Firefox. On the downloaded PDF it looks fine.

You mean the image of Kamila from vol1 chapter 4? Yeah I cropped that imagine in the doc itself, but it shows ok in the app and preview mode.

Gosh, I wonder if there is a better way to share such a long form work. I got no knowledge about websites so creating a free one for it is no-no
